Although not an explicit learning goal,some global issues were introduced in the course. Table 2 shows the course components from2010 that included global issues; similar elements were also present in 2009. In 2008 and 2006the course did not include the sustainability module. In 2007 the course had a different instructorand the content may have deviated significantly from what is shown. The guest speakers whorepresented various sub-disciplines within civil engineering were not prompted to include globalissues
