may have diminished; previously when FE review was part of a gradedcourse it seemed to send a stronger message from the program and its faculty that the exam wasimportant to the students’ future career. For example, on the 2011-2012 graduating seniorsurvey, students were asked “how important is it to you whether or not you passed the FEexam?” Among the 56 respondents, 9% selected not at all/not very and 9% answeredmoderately; we believe that all students should respond moderately or higher. Also, it was feltthat the level of knowledge and learning acquired in the senior design course was insufficient formany of the professional skills.
