Arkansas, Fayetteville. Before joining the U of A faculty in 1996, he served in the US Army as an engineer officer for 24 years. During his military career Dennis had the unique opportunity to build roads, airfields and other facilities on five different continents and spend over 11 years as a member of the faculty at the US Military Academy. His current research interests include laboratory and field determination of geotechnical material properties for transportation systems and the use of remote sensing techniques to categorize geohazards.
