DiscussionThrough analyzing data related to engineering students’ college experiences on Twitter, wefound a large number of tweets complaining about homework, classes, professors, exams, andstudying. Negative tweets are overwhelmingly more numerous than positive tweets. Thisindicates an imbalance between academic life and social life among engineering students. A poordesign of curriculum is also revealed. For example, many students complain that sociology andhistory classes are useless to engineering majors, and chemistry class is useless to computerengineering majors.
