Four control-of-self skills were quantitatively measured in this case studythrough motivation scales of the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ)designed by Pintrich, Smith, Garcia, and McKeachie [12]. The internal reliability coefficients foreach motivational component are high: Intrinsic Goal Orientation (i.e., α = .74), Task Value (i.e.,α = .90), Control of Learning Beliefs (i.e., α = .68), and Self-Efficacy for Learning andPerformance (i.e., α = .93) The scale correlations with the final grade of this test instrument are
