For the learning module materials, each student completes apre-exercise survey asking about their prior knowledge, provides evidence of their attempts toperform the exercise, and then writes a reflection about what they have learned.The opportunity has presented itself to use CATME [12] to create and assess student teams. expand on prior work where the students discussed whatUDL and learner-centeredness are and why these are essential additions to academia and learning(Wiitablake, Eanochs et al., 2022). As such, the lead author asked those who have participated orare currently participating in the grant as part of the Collaborative Design Team to reflect ontheir experiences with the project. The idea was to leave the task open for interpretation, thoughprompts were supplied to all students to get started with the writing. experience.3) Provide a venue for peer and older engineers to relate their academic and career development practices to the SBP participants.4) Introduce shared experiences of other Hispanic/Latinx / minority (female) engineers.The SBP program each year consisted of 2 to 4-hour afternoon sessions held each weekday invirtual only or hybrid mode over the three-week program in July. A Zoom platform was used toconduct the virtual portion of the daily SBP sessions. A weekly stipend was provided to eachparticipant as an incentive for continued attendance, paid after each week.
