ultimate strength. Thus, there are seven degrees offreedom between the eight treatment combinations in the 23 factorial design analysis. Threedegrees of freedom are associated with the main effect: agitation (A), temperature (T), andcurrent density (C). Four degrees of freedom are associated with the interactions: agitation-temperature (AT); agitation-current density (AC); temperature-current density (TC); andagitation-temperature-current density (ATC).
