classes.Multidisciplinary engineering courses could stimulate faculty and students to approach otherdepartments to conduct multidisciplinary research and conduct collaborative design projects.Multidisciplinary projects are highly encouraged by the departments and help the studentsbecome more knowledgeable and valuable in their future positions. Describing the advantagesand limitations of the mechatronics course as a multidisciplinary teaching endeavor provides acatalyst for the development of other courses.The short term goals are to evaluate the existing course content and integrate more labs anddemonstrations that could make an immediate impact on the students’ learning.
