climate change. The TEST tool is introduced to facilitatestudent comprehension of thermodynamic analyses of these cycles and the constituent processes. While students continue to struggle with solving problems related to thermodynamic cycles, practicing with the TEST software alleviates some of the difficulty with the progress of the course. The ABET outcomes related to ethical and professional responsibilities and the impact ofengineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts are stronglyaligned to the course content. Relevance of Kigali and Paris accords, and the preceding Kyoto andMontreal protocols are also highlighted in the context of the course. The paper will provide an overview of the course and the project work

team’s design and construction of an APVAWT, total eightdecision gates (stakeholder requirements, system requirements, system operations, systemfunctions, system architectures, implementation, verification and validation) are set for theproject from inception to completion in order to satisfy the need of a client who asks to make anAPVAWT. This process includes technical and artistic designs considering functionality, beauty, safety, economics, and ethical implications, ensuring the functionality and beauty for thecompleted physical unit. Through this project, students will have an enriched opportunity for aninterdisciplinary design process combining engineering and arts. 1. IntroductionAccording to recent reports on renewable energy, although

Criteria for Baccalaureate Level Programs”, Criterion 3, as follows [2]: • Outcome 2: “an ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.” • Outcome 4: “an ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.”Various experiential learning strategies in general and service learning in particular are some oftools in educators’ disposal to teach these skills [3].
