Following the interviews, the researchermanually edited the automatic transcription to ensure accuracy. At the beginning of eachinterview, the researcher read through the ethics protocol with the students, reminding them thattheir interview was entirely voluntary and confidential. Semi-structured, open-ended interviewprotocols were developed for use in this study.
