applied Voice ofCustomer to engage students and faculty to identify the pilot program’s requirements. They usedthe lean six sigma process design tools and root cause analysis to identify the critical tosatisfaction characteristics and the factors that will positively impact success of the mentoringprogram. This is a work in progress and constitutes the first step in designing and piloting anengineering mentoring program. The program will be piloted in Fall 2019, based on the findingsfrom the Lean Six Sigma project. The initial mentoringprogram design was developed through two Lean Six Sigma projects, where they collected voiceof the customer (mentors and mentees) data, and designed the program. The program waspiloted in Fall 2019, spearheaded by the Women Engineering Program in the School ofEngineering, the director and a student graduate assistant.
