work together on real-world service-based lean six sigma projects. The undergraduate coursecovered a Six Sigma Green Belt curriculum, and the graduate course incorporated additional Six SigmaBlack Belt tools. The student teams worked on 6 different Lean Six Sigma projects. For five of the sixprojects, two separate teams worked on each project, meeting with stakeholders and process ownerstogether, to reduce the redundancy of the material covered. aiming to develop anovel instructional framework to improve student learning outcomes and early career readiness.At the previous stage, three classes within the engineering program were successfully integratedinto a simulation project. This next stage expands the instructional framework to the multi-discipline level and examines the learning processes and outcomes of engineering and business-major students. Management. The course istypically offered in fall and spring semesters with enrollment of approximately 90 students eachsemester. The course exists to introduce the management functions of planning, organizing,motivating, and controlling. Further, the course analyzes the application of these functions inresearch, design, production, technical marketing, and project management and studies theevolution of the engineering career and the transition to engineering management.The course was regularly delivered in a traditional format with two 75-minute classroomsessions each week, including lecture by the instructor with student response to questions usingclickers.
