What makes this issue so controversial andtimely is the ethical debate around the importance of planetary protection policies. These policiesare extremely crucial and timely for deep space travel to distant celestial bodies including theMoon, Mars, and asteroids. Thus, gaining the perspective of the undergraduate participants’opinions on this topic is meaningful to depict future policy initiatives around planetaryprotection.At
