Dean was given his first Artificial Intelligence course back in 2002,with students using the Lisp programming language to implement a Minimax lookahead strategyfor the classic board game Othello. Since then, he has taught classes, conducted personalresearch, and written stories involving AI. Since the boom of ChatGPT and other large languagemodels, Dean has focused his attention on the ethics of AI and its potential ramifications onsociety.
