easierjustification of equipment and labor investment costs. Perhaps more importantly, studentsrepeatedly encounter the equipment and explore different portions of the apparatus throughout thecurriculum. Anecdotal feedback from the students on the learning gains from using real hardwareand preparing them for future careers in engineering has been positive. This feedback has beengathered verbally in the lab and through five-year post graduation surveys.
