An initial environmental scan will help the program to set a curriculum whichaddresses the need of prospective students and employers. The program needs to distinguishitself from an engineering graduate program by having courses on managerial/leadership skills aswell as courses on decision making skills, in addition to technical courses, as part of thecurriculum. A step-by-step approach in growth, by slowly expanding the program, will help theprogram flourish as the offering becomes broader and therefore addresses the needs of a broaderconstituency.
