a method of teaching that integrates community service into an academiccourse through applied learning to enrich the educational experience of students and meet theneeds of the community. In this paper, we describe the integration of service-learning into anundergraduate industrial engineering course.Over the past three years, students in the course have worked with four community partners tocomplete service-learning projects. worked for over 27 years. She worked as project manager, engineering manager, utility manager, maintenance manager, and finally as the Resident Engineer managing all technical areas of the facility. During her tenure, the brewery saw dramatic increases in productivity improvement, increased use of automation systems, and significant cost reductions in all areas including utilities where they received the internal award for having the best utility usage reduction for 2014. The various regression model techniques were compared using the AkaikeInformation Criterion12 (AIC), AICc, and the Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC).
