The study design and assessmentframework use longitudinal analysis and mixed methods instruments to present performance outcomes intandem with usability metrics. The details of the assessment framework and study design were iterativelydesigned for robustness and to address the gap in detailed methodologies within the educational AR-GBLapplication assessment space.The assessment framework and study design for AREEA are derived from previous study designsdeveloped by the authors and assessment techniques based on engineering education literature. Theassessment framework was developed to evaluate the usability of educational AR-GBL applications i.e.,Holographic Applications for
