Hethanked Will for the idea, saying “good question.” Thus an undergraduate proposed a novel wayto address an engineering problem. He derived this suggestion from his broad education inengineering and his hobby of reading about innovative technologies. In Wylie’s observations,undergraduates tend to excel at this open-mindedness and ability to make novel connections.
