only a small percentage of students attempted to use AItools for report writing in their project-based assignments. This has been an ongoing challenge,particularly with non-traditional assessments. However, further research is needed to gain abetter understanding of the ethical use of such tools in student assignments and assessments,including ethical use of AI-based tools as programming assistant.Another key observation was that student engagement with the course material, throughattending classes, participating in tutorials, and completing assignments on time, was closelylinked to their final grades.
