Thus, engineering education will also bechanging, with more emphasis on graduate education, as outlined in a recently released series ofreports by the National Academy of Engineering [30]. Educators recognize that undergraduateresearch motivates students to apply for graduate school, and underrepresented groups mustbecome an integral part of such a technical workforce.
