Highlighting Scholarly ActivityIn 2017, the Diversity Committee introduced traditional publish-to-present paper sessions at theASEE Annual Conference. This was in part a response to the papers nominated for the BestDiversity Paper award. The Diversity Committee maintains a position of supporting a broaddefinition of diversity and recognized a need to provide a space for papers on diversity-relatedtopics that were not the historical focus of other divisions within the organization. That year,twenty-two papers were accepted for presentation at the annual conference; this was above andbeyond the papers submitted to the Minorities in Engineering Division (MIND), the Women inEngineering Division

Groh, Purdue University, West Lafayette Dr. Groh joined the Purdue Women in Engineering Program (WIEP) in 2009. She received a B.S. in microbiology from Purdue University, and a Ph.D. in microbiology from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining WIEP, she was the Graduate Programs Coordinator in the Purdue Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering. As Associate Director of WIEP, Dr. Groh administers the undergraduate Mentee & Mentor Program and the Graduate Mentoring Program, teaches two Women in
