Saliently, thisexperimental approach offers important advantages over a true randomized experiment, as itavoids both denying mentors to students who want them and imposing mentors on uninterestedstudents, which has been identified as an ethical concern (Gershenfeld, 2014).In the following section, the raw data acquired to date is shown, followed by the description of a)the data analysis performed to identify statistically significant effects of the intervention onretention and performance; and b) the results of said analysis.3
