They are required to writeand present a proposed detailed action plan to the company supervisor detailinginnovative ideas and designs for how the company can be more sustainable for theirassigned problem. Students validated the lessened environmental impact of theirdesigns by calculating reduction of fossil fuel use, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions,and raw material consumption through material and energy balances.
