A semester-long research anddevelopment experience can aid undergraduate mechanical engineering students in gaining andreinforcing skills critical to success in their programs. The research opportunity presented to twofirst-year mechanical engineering students at the University of Wyoming introduced them toengineering concepts such as coding, and project management as well as reinforcing conceptslike physical production.
