may be more universally achievable. Kindness avoids setting up ahierarchy. There are not ‘victims’. We don’t need to understand the particulars of circumstancesand sit in judgement. Kindness is also associated with the positive emotions of happiness andjoy, in contrast with compassion [27]. Further discussion of the affordances of kindness as amodel for engineering are discussed after the literature survey process.Connections between kindness and other concepts that resulted from an attempt to summarizethe literature are shown in Figure 1.
