well correlated and useful in preparing students for success in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.Results: At the end of the EDGE Program the students as a group showed a substantial gain inaverage math skill grade level, although many students appeared to have already attainedmastery of some course content (computer literacy). The two courses were well suited for alearning community linkage designed to provide knowledge, skills, and the peer support neededfor academic success and a technical career.
