Engineering andthe National Research Council, with support from the National Science Foundation that wasinitiated to improve engineering education at community colleges and improve the prospects forcommunity college students’ achievement of Bachelors Degrees in Engineering at four-yearinstitutions.The paper attempts to establish some basic ground rules for building a quality control assessmentsystem and creating active partnerships between Community Colleges and the four-yearUniversities with an ongoing dialog.
