AbstractFarmingdale State College (FSC) has taken a multi-faceted approach to tackle the issue of thelow number of women students enrolled in its computing degree programs. FSC has only 8-16%women enrolled in its computing degree programs over the past decade despite doublingenrollment in these programs during the same time. conceptualized from a longitudinal study of a scholar’s program atthree different universities in the state of Nebraska. A department faculty member was part of amulti-year institutional professional learning community (PLC) that explored the scale-up andscale-out of this model. College Graduates (NSCG), over 50% of bachelor’sdegree recipients between 2008 and 2017 attended some community college, and 25% earned anassociate’s degree in their path to achieve educational attainment goals and pursue careeradvancement [4]. Reasons for attending a community college vary, but the primary reason is toearn credits towards a bachelor’s degree.Many STEM careers now require a 4-year degree [1]. Underrepresented Entrepreneurs in Interdisciplinary Engineering TechnologyAbstract:In the realm of unaddressed ethnic disparities in the United States, the issue of venture capitalfunding is often overlooked. Despite their significant presence in the population, Hispanic andBlack entrepreneurs receive only a fraction of venture capital investment, which is a starkcontrast to their demographic representation.
