The course is intended to address the new ABET program specific criteria forcivil engineering to “raise the bar” on ethics instruction. The course is also intended to helpstudents understand the importance of sustainable design and the impacts of engineering onsociety. American Society for Engineering Education, 2016 A Summer STEM Camp for High School Female StudentsIntroduction In the summer of 2015, a Summer STEM Camp was organized at West Virginia UniversityInstitute of Technology (WVU Tech) with the objective of inspiring female high school students’interest in STEM disciplines and encouraging them to choose STEM (science, technology,engineering, and mathematics) as their college major.
