Over the two semesters, various arguments toconvince students of the importance of maintaining distancing were tested: ensuring the safety ofoneself and others, getting practice following workplace safety rules in preparation for a career inindustry, the risk that the Unit Ops Lab may be shut down by the administration if policies werenot followed, and others. There is often a disconnect between what the studentswrite and the actual meaning of their project results.
