Asshown in Figure 1, there are threenatural gas boilers as well as oneprimary wood boiler that produce thesteam. Natural gas is the backupenergy source, used only inemergencies. Wood chips, acompletely renewable local resource,is the primary energy source. Thesteam exits the boilers at a pressureof about 170 psi and feeds into acommon manifold.
