St. Louis andthe Emory University Hopital in Atlanta. Internationally, Singapore’s manufacturers, companies,and hospitals ranging form five hundred to eighteen hundred beds have been involved. There waslimited experience with organizations in Canada, France, India and Germany.Based on personal experience with co-op program in six countries over several years, the value ofthe co-op programs in providing experiential learning has been observed. The effectiveness of theco-op modules were assessed based on personal interviews with the students after the internshipusing the following parameters: exposure to real life problems, acquisition of generic skills,improvements in soft skills, bridging the gap from classroom to workplace, student
