The course syllabus specified studentperformance evaluation as follows: • Professionalism and Active Participation 25% • Presentations 35% • Journals 20% • Term Paper 20%Since the course takes place on the road, in a foreign country, professionalism is an extremelyimportant element. The syllabus spelled out eight specific areas of “professionalism” a studenthad to follow in order to succeed in the course. These included being on-time, respecting others,being responsible, and contributing to the team and the course, among others
