Prior to joining Northwestern, she worked for nine years at IDEO, in the Boston and Chicago offices, where she led projects across a broad range of industries including medical, business, industrial, and consumer goods. She received her M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA and a B.S in Mechanical Engi- neering from the University of Rochester. Rick also oversees WPI’s Global Perspective Program, a worldwide network of 35 Project Centers to which more than 700 students per year travel to address problems for local agencies and organizations under faculty supervision.
