The most straightforward way, and the waythe RF industry uses, of measuring these one and two-port networks is using S-parameters. Tomake the measurements, a two-port vector network analyzer (VNA) can be employed to makethese S-parameter measurements directly, from which other network parameters could be derivedif necessary. At the end of lecture class sessions, the finalhalf hour is dedicated to a Critical Thinking Exercise (CTE) related to the main topic(s) of thelecture. During the CTE, students form small groups to solve a complex problem. The CTE is oftenposed as a free-form design challenge or a debate; however, another CTE structure is underdevelopment in the form of an open-ended engineering challenge (similar to a hack-a-thon) thatrequires student groups to recruit a more technical skill set to develop a potential solution. that we have only four heavy atoms (i.e.,carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and sulfur) and four positions in which they can be located. Thepurpose of the circuit is to identify one atom for each of these four positions with the highestprobability to form a molecule with a good fit for binding to the protein. Our four heavy atoms(C, N, O, and S) can inhabit four positions (44) which can be encoded as 256 uniquecombinations of molecules. Rather than checking all 256 possibilities one-by-one as a classicalcomputer would require, we leverage entanglement and superposition to check them all at onetime. As is true in our advanced quantum circuit, hydrogen is not encoded. This is becausehydrogen (H) is a light atom. Rather, we assume the presence of

Therefore, in fall 2017, sixnew courses, each worth 0.5 credits, were created for the Career Compass program. These threecredits must be successfully completed (e.g. earning a Satisfactory) for a student to graduate.Students must earn at least 90 out of 100 points to earn an S. An optional fourth year ofprogramming has been developed, so it will be possible for students to earn 1 additional electivecredit during their senior year.
