Faculty suddenly needed to convert their courses to an onlineformat. For lecture classes there were many issues to address, but laboratory courses had aspecial set of concerns. The series provides students and faculty with a better understanding of data science from an industry perspective. Business and industry leaders will share their experiences, concerns, and future analytics objectives, while also sharing insight regarding the future job market within their industries. Similarly, in 2007, guidelines were implemented to limit the transmissionof swine flu in schools. As early as 1908, guidelines were proposed that included “segregation” of thosewith infectious Tuberculosis. Research exists about the pandemic impacts and the reactionary approachesadopted and
had to cover the usual range of material: fluidmechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, separations and chemical reactions. The lab has nowbeen taught twice during May-term in a completely online format, with mixed results. Many ofthe usual class features can be incorporated easily, such as student presentations in Zoom, or thenumber and types of reports, or lecture coverage through Canvas and Kaltura. However, whilestudent satisfaction, as measured by their evaluations, is generally good, some concern about alack of rigor has been expressed. Moreover, while flexibility is excellent and allows students towork outside school, communication in the online format is not as good as in a laboratory settingon campus. Some potential improvements

At the University ofArkansas (U of A), faculty training sessions on the use of Blackboard and Collaborate wereoffered on March 11 and 12 because the faculty were told that they might need to move to fullyremote teaching at some point. Within hours, the Dean of Engineering declared that all facultyneeded to be able to teach at least one class remotely by March 19 in preparation for fully remotedelivery on a regular basis by March 30. The clear message to the faculty was to “go fullyremote and do the best you can to finish out the semester.”The following summer demonstrated that
