the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).A new one-semester course was offered to XX University undergraduate engineering students inthe Fall of 2020 to provide students with experience in designing a medical device, while at thesame time following FDA guidelines for medical device approval. Students first identify anunmet clinical need by interviewing members who work in health care fields or by interviewingpatients who use a variety of medical devices. Students also participate in an active-learningcurriculum based on the FDA approval process, computer-aided design, and material selectionfor medical devices. At the conclusion of the course, students are expected to develop a feasibledesign and in some cases a prototype. Furthermore, the

Monitoring and Management of Classroom Audio Video Technology Using Crestron Fusion Benjamin T. Bassett Douglas E. Dow, Johanna PiersonMany of the learning spaces across a typical college campus are equipped with presentationtechnology to aid the learning process. These tools such as televisions, projectors, microphones, and document cameras should be monitored and maintained to ensure that they remainoperational for classes. Outages of these systems can cause significant disruptions to thestudent's ability to learn. To ensure effective utilization of classroom technology it is importantthat systems can be monitored and confirm all equipment in a room is functioning as

@ucu.edu.uaABSTRACT: The accreditation process in the Higher education system in each country is aboutverifying the compliance with the criteria that a specific governmental institution hasestablished or/and an independent organization is using currently. The Ukrainian CatholicUniversity presented in this paper is a non-profit educational institution. It states in itsmission the goal of “forming leaders to serve with professional excellence in the homecountry and internationally – for the glory of God, the common good, and the dignity of thehuman person.” The university’s internal managerial approach is to support the startupculture. This paper aims to apply the accreditation process as a prerequisite to improving theinternal processes. This background

Mapping Technical Writing Across the Civil Engineering CurriculumThe Civil Engineering Profession expects graduates to develop sound communication and technical skillsduring their undergraduate education. Riley et al. (2000) reported the results of a study showing 38% ofnew engineering graduates across all engineering disciplines indicated that having good communicationskills is one of the most important factors impacting their advancement and success in industry. Similarly,it has been documented in the literature that good oral and written communication skills are requiredattributes for the success of engineering graduates in the workplace. Effective writing is one of thecommunication skills critical for
