Thus, student groups were asked to design a product (possibly a fastener, a light fixture, or aconstruction toy) with 4-6 components based on the idea of biomimicking climbing plants. Forcomprehensive, long-term learning, Kolb created a four-step model learning cycle. The steps areknown as active experimentation, reflecting observation, abstract conceptualization, and concreteexperience (doing) (using the ECP approach) as shown in Figure 2.
