The moduleincluded a lecture on the basics of climate change—introducing the concepts of “Anthropocene”,greenhouse gases, and the Keeling curve. Students looked at the proposed plan for achieving netzero emissions described in the book, “Speed & Scale” by John Doerr (2021) and identified theengineering disciplines involved in each of the plan’s objectives [5]. A list of articles featuringnews on climate change-related work from all major disciplines was compiled for the students tohighlight recent real-world applications [6]–[19].
