simulations were run using the CFD-ACE+ computational package togenerate data for comparison with the experimental results. The simulation and theexperimental results corresponded reasonably well. Though not all images matchedperfectly as the wakes developed, the comparisons gave us confidence that the simulationsare accurately depicting single obstruction flows.During the fall of 2009, more work will be done with multiple obstructions and simulations.Ideally, the information will be used to support research involving the mixing andinteracting of two fluids that would not mix well on their own.
