classroom buildings. Polycominstructional broadcast systems have both instructor and student focused cameras. Three screensdisplay the content and instructor views at the front of the room and the distant students at theback of the room, as shown in figure 1. The instructor controls the camera views and contentimages from a control panel at the front of the room. A Blackboard website supports the course.The content storage tools for keeping the syllabus and course notes, the gradebook function,assessment and survey tools, and occasionally bulletin board and chat room features inBlackboard are used to enhance the in-class instruction.
