Figure 3 shows the results of a log-linearplot of the temperature difference between the bratwurst and ambient air as a function of time,which is tracked very well by a linear-regression fit. The slope value equals to 0.031 min-1,corresponding to a value of k = 0.07 min-1, which is about a third of the rate in the waterexperiment, reflecting both, the smaller temperature differential as well as the differingconductivities of the water versus air pockets adjacent to the
