The course also provided an opportunity for students to get toknow about the community partners and be introduced to the project. We took field trips to thecommunity partner organizations and students were asked to share reflections on needs theyidentified, and hypothetical case studies were created out of the BOOST projects. The studentsalso learned to communicate and interact professionally with the community partners. Studentswere assigned to project teams and met with the faculty mentors to begin forming team bondsand brainstorming conceptual designs, and discussing potential ethical issues that
