Qualitative and quantitativeanalyses focused on four students (two dyads) from a Mechanics of Materials lab course thatoffered a hands-on environment to observe, physically experience, and mathematically modeltorsional loads. Data was obtained from videos during a pre-lab assessment as well as acollaborative torsional testing lab activity.
