This paper is intended to serve as a road map tothe extensive literature that exists on active and collaborative learning strategies for computer-science courses.It is not the goal of this work to tell you how to go about integrating ACL into your classes. Forthat, I would recommend the series by Jeffrey McConnell19, 20, 21, 22 in Inroads over the past twoyears. Rather, this paper attempts to survey how others have used ACL in computer science andcomputer engineering classes, in the hope that you might run across some practices that you canadopt. Moreover, by collecting a large number of techniques in one place, I hope to sufficientlyfamiliarize readers with the practices that they will have no difficulty
