The authorsreport that 81% of the students had a better understanding of what an engineer does as a result oftaking the class, according to the end of semester survey. As FYE students become moreknowledgeable about engineering, all of the various branches and disciplines of engineering, andthe skills necessary to be successful, they will be better able to match their interests and skills tothe area that is a best fit for them.
