He received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Temple University in 1983, his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University in 1984 and 1987, respec- tively. Dr Helferty has received four American Society for Engineering Education Faculty Fellowships, of which two were at the Naval Air Development Center in PA and the other two were at NASA’s Jet Propul- sion Laboratory in Pasadena CA.
