Systematically introducing ‘breaks’ in the lecture, involving students incognitive activities appropriate to the lecture content seems to have a great impact in the learningprocess and is appreciated by the students. The minute paper was attempted as a formativetechnique with limited success due to the lack of enthusiasm from students and their lack ofawareness about positive impact on their learning. More efforts are required to sustainenthusiasm among students regarding minute paper
