Bachelor’s and the Master’s program at HPI he decided to continue with his Ph.D. studies at this institute, but broadened the focus from a completely technical to a more design research driven level. His main focus is the replicability of software repository data analysis. He furthermore is involved in various teaching activities, for example as a teaching assistant in a soft- ware engineering lecture. There he is responsible for organizing an exercise that has all 80 students of the lecture develop a single system in a joint effort. Furthermore, he is responsible for organizing the ME310/SUGAR lecture (http://sugar-network.org) at the EPIC chair and also serves as a teacher in that course.Dr. Matthias Uflacker, Hasso
airborne flight laboratory was discontinued. In its place there hasbeen developed an Aviation Studio, equipped with a fixed-base flight simulator. Similar tothe work carried out at another Australian University, the engineering flight simulator hasbeen specifically designed as a versatile and practical hands-on aid to the teaching of flightmechanics and dynamics and aircraft design 3. Using a flight console, screens and X-Planesoftware, students can manipulate many aircraft characteristics. The use of technology to simulate physical phenomena most likely originated in the “BlueBox” developed by Edwin Link in 1928 5. Link trainer flight simulation was used for pilottraining extensively during World War II “saving millions of dollars and more than a
